DEPARTMENT OF SPORTS GAMES THEORY AND METHODOLOGY
The “Theory and Methodology of Sports Games” Department of the Nukus branch of the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Culture and Sports was established on August 29, 2025, based on Order No. 1 of the branch. Currently, the department employs 22 professors and teachers (20 full-time teachers). T.Sh. Seytmuratov has been appointed Head of the Department, Ph.D., Associate Professor.
In the department, special and social sciences professors and teachers teach students in 9 bachelor’s degree programs. The department employs 1 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Candidate of Sciences, 1 professor, 7 associate professors, the department’s scientific potential is 36%.
Along with pedagogical activities, the faculty of the department successfully carries out scientific and methodological activities. The textbook “Improving Sports and Pedagogical Skills” (Basketball) by assistant teacher N.Paluaniyazova, the textbook “Teaching Methods of Volleyball” by B.Tabinbayev, T.Naubetullayev, the textbook “Theory and Methodology of Volleyball” by I.Allayarov, the textbook “Methods of Effective Use of Attacking and Defensive Tactical Actions in the Play Activities of Volleyball Players,” “Initial Teaching of Volleyball Game Techniques,” B. Tileuov’s “Improving Sports and Pedagogical Skills” (Gandball) textbook, R. Atajanov’s “Badminton” textbook, Sh. Muminov, R. Atajanov’s “Methods of Teaching Handball” textbook, R. Atajanov’s “Improving Sports and Pedagogical Skills” (Badminton) textbook, The textbook “Theory and Methodology of Badminton,” the textbook “Methods of Teaching Swimming” by R. Kadyrimbetov, the textbook “Sport Fencing: Theoretical and Methodological Foundations,” and the textbook “Theory and Methodology of Fencing” by R. Kadyrimbetov have been published.
At the same time, a number of young scientists of the department R. Kadirimbetov are conducting research on “Scientific and pedagogical foundations of forming a healthy generation through the development of fencing in the Republic of Karakalpakstan,” M. Kutlimuratov “Methodology of applying movement games in the comprehensive training of young football players engaged in a football club.”
