Department of “Theory of physical education, humanities and natural sciences”
Based on the order № 259 of the Nukus branch of the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports dated September 20, 2021, the Department of “Theory of Physical Education, Humanitarian and Natural Sciences” was established. Currently, 26 professors and teachers (21 full-time) work at the department. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Kuralbayev Azizbek Kuralbayevich was appointed as the acting head of the department.
The department has 4 undergraduate programs taught by professors and teachers in special and social sciences. The department has 8 doctors of philosophy (PhD), 1 candidate of sciences, and the scientific potential of the department is 35%.
The professors and teachers of the department, along with their pedagogical activities, are also successfully conducting scientific and methodological activities. The head of the department, Ph.D. (PhD), associate professor A. Kuralbaev, authored the textbook “Handball: Methods of Teaching Sports and Active Games” and the monograph “Improving the Educational Process of Young Handball Players”, the textbook “Sports Psychology” by T. Arzimbetov, associate professor of the department, Ph.D. (PhD), associate professor of the department, together with associate professor A. Elmuratova, the textbook “Social Psychology” by T. Kuralbaev No. 1 of 2024, the topic “Technology of organizing the educational process of experienced handball players” for the degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (DSc) in the specialty of Theory and Methods of Physical Education, Sports Training, Health and Adaptive Physical Education” was approved, and the topic “Methodology of developing the technical training of young football players based on kinematic indicators” for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pedagogical Sciences of the independent researcher Mambetiyarov Nauriz Saparbayevich was approved. The topics of the doctoral dissertation (PhD) of Yerezhepov Islam Yusupovich were approved by the scientific council.
